The Playhouse Company will be holding auditions for its Dance Residency programme on Friday, 3 February.
The award-winning Playhouse Dance Residency which has been in existence for the past five years will be looking to recruit three dancers who are trained in a variety of dance disciplines especially contemporary dance and ballet.
The programme is made possible by incubator funding from the Department of Arts & Culture. The fund prioritises skills development and employment creation for South African youth.
Successful applicants will be expected to join the Residency programme on a full-time basis as of February 2017, and will be involved in dance training with various tutors for different dance styles as well as be involved in productions produced by The Playhouse Company.

Venue: The Playhouse Company Rehearsal room 410
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to prepare for a ballet class as well as contemporary choreography, both of which will be conducted by the panel. Preparation of a two-minute solo dance piece is also compulsory for this audition.
ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE AUDITIONED.
