Catch Brian McFadden on his ‘Soul Jam’ tour this November for three intimate performances. An Otis Redding tribute with some Westlife hits in the mix.
Brian McFadden is an Irish-singer songwriter whose singing career took off when he joined the boyband Westlife in 1998. With twelve number one hit singles like ‘Flying Without Wings’ and ‘Uptown Girl’, they enjoyed enormous international success.
In 2004 he left the band to pursue his solo career, releasing his debut album ‘Irish Son’. His first single off the album reached number one, followed by a string of number ones.
He moved to Australia and became both a television and breakfast radio presenter, before transitioning seamlessly back into the world of music. He began writing and releasing more hits, collaborating with pop stars such as Ronan Keating and Keith Duffy on world tours.
Brian is currently working on recording and producing an album collection of soul classics featuring various guest artists, the first a tribute to soul legend Otis Redding. The first two singles will be released towards the end of October, running alongside his new live shows.
In November, Brian will be embarking on a full live tour, ‘Brian McFadden – Soul Jam’, backed by a full nine-piece band. While this show will focus largely on his love for old-school soul, it will definitely include many of Westlife’s greatest hits.
He will be kicking off his tour on 16 November at Platteland, a new venue in Centurion already renowned for their stage production, sound and lighting facilities.
His two shows in Stellenbosch on 17 and 18 November promise to be unforgettable experiences at the newly built Spier Amphitheatre. With only 650 tickets available, it will be an intimate affair, the layout such that every seat in the house guarantees an up close and personal show.
“This is a project I have wanted to do for years. I love old soul and I cannot wait to perform some of the great soul classics in South Africa,” says Brian McFadden.
This tour celebrates the many sides of Brian, the sides you know and the sides he’s been dying to share with you, a world-class act to say the least.
