Following the success of “uhm” in 2014 and 2015, The Paper cut Collective’s latest play but, The Land aims at cross-referencing stories about the daily violence and pain inflicted on South Africans, post the TRCs attempts at healing. But, The Land will be a multi-disciplinary theatre production unearthing questions about location, history and identity. How did we get here, where are we going and when will the question about Land be answered?
We are looking to cast exciting multi-talented professional performers.
Please prepare a 3-5 minute interpretation of the concept with the following ingredients:
– One short text including two dominant South African languages
– A physical expression inspired by the creative concept
– A musical element (song, playing an instrument, rap etc.
