Drama for Life, a unique academic department and creative research hub on the African continent specializing in using the arts to innovate social change, transformation and healing, is set to celebrate a decade of ground-breaking and cutting-edge innovations on the African continent and abroad, with ten days of exciting theatre and research from around the globe with their Transforming Arts|Transforming Lives Conference and Festival, at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) from 28 November to 8 December 2018.
Stretching over 10 days, Transforming Arts | Transforming Lives is the first conference and festival of this magnitude on the African continent – bringing together artists, activists, applied drama facilitators, drama therapists, educators and academics from Africa to Brazil, Sweden and even Canada, to share the most recent innovations, productions and cutting-edge research on arts for social change and transformation, happening on the global stage.
