The magic, the madness and the loss.
Earlier this week, queer writer and filmmaker Jessica Denyschen launches her debut poetry collection: The magic, the madness and the loss at Breezeblock. This collection is described by Denyschen as a cartography of the emotional landscape shared between two women over the course of 4 years. The non-linear nature of this tumultuous relationship whips the reader from the magic of desire and connection, to asphyxiating anxiety and despair in a relentless search for truth. Laced with personal artefacts, the journey is raw and honest. It’s a vulnerable sharing of a woman in search of love, in search of herself.
