On Saturday morning’s edition of Saturday’s Role With Reno, host Renos Spanoudes spoke to Monageng ‘Vice’ Motshabi about Between the Pillar and the Post.
Between the Pillar and the Post is a multi-lingual anthology of contemporary South African monologues and scenes.
Together with Monageng ‘Vice’ Motshabi, Clara Vaughan and the Market Theatre Lab have compiled a book of contemporary South African monologues and scenes with the intention of giving performing arts students a new range of relevant work to cut their teeth on. The anthology contains work that has thoughtfully been selected to be inclusive of a diversity of languages, characters and subject matters that reflect our modern South African society from some of South Africa’s most interesting emerging and established playwrights.
The book was launched at The Market Theatre and will have another launch event at The National Arts Festival.
