On Saturday morning’s edition of Saturday’s Role With Reno, host Renos Spanoudes interviewed Ntshieng Mokgoro, 2009 winner of the Standard Bank Young Artist Award for Drama about her life in theatre, the creation of the Olive Tree Production Company and subsequently the the Olive Tree Theatre in Alexander.

Sunday 13 November sees the Olive Tree Women’s Theatre Festival draw to a close after more than a week of celebrating women in theatre. This festival of women’s theatre saw 10 days of theatrical riches in one of Joburg’s newest theatre spaces, the Olive Tree Theatre in Alexander.

The festival included panel discussions, writing and directing workshops, screenings, 13 plays, dance and music. Ntshieng Mokgoro founded the Olive Tree Production Company, and brought into existence the Olive Tree Theatre. Listen to Renos’ interview with Ntshieng Mokgoro here:
