On Saturday morning’s edition of Saturday’s Role With Reno, host Renos Spanoudes spoke to Rabbie “Wrote” Serumula about his passion for poetry.


Rabbie “Wrote” Serumula is a Limpopo born, Soweto raised author, award-winning poet and multiple-award nominated journalist. He is now taking his passion for poetry, the arts and story-telling to new heights.

Rabbie “Wrote” Serumula is a founding member of Magnum Opus, a Johannesburg based poetry collective that produces and hosts annual poetry concert, The Cosmos Tribe. Rabbie created South Africa’s first-ever poetry special, Ultimate Form Vol.2, on streaming site Vimeo.

This weekend (Sunday 28 July), Rabbie will be launching his poetry special at the Word N Sound Live Literature Market in Newton, Johannesburg. This market takes place on the last Sunday of every month, brings book lovers together to celebrate the culture of reading while authors bring their words to life through readings, discussions and performances. Copies of books and other artworks are sold directly to the public at the monthly event.
