Founded in 2009, School Aid South Africa is a non-profit organisation which refurbishes libraries and provides school books to disadvantaged schools. School Aid South Africa (SASA) is thrilled to be hosting its First Annual Fundraising Dinner on Thursday, 14 June 2018.
School Aid South Africa (SASA) was founded in 2009. It is a non-profit organisation which refurbishes libraries, provides school books and other educational resources to schools in disadvantaged communities. The books are either purchased or donated by our sister organisation School Aid UK.
We are also involved in a 12-month Library Management Training Programme which enables library assistants to run the libraries we invest in efficiently, as well providing them with a tangible skill.
School aid is hosting its first annual fundraising dinner which is titled “Thuma Mina” / “Send Me”. Mr Mandla Langa is our official speaker for the evening and Ms Rami Chuene will MC the event. Guests will include company executives, professionals and public figures. We will be hosting a tasteful auction as part of the event. School Aid South Africa has been successful in securing various donated auction items and will provide a Section 18A certificate for all donations or discounts received.
SASA has to date been successful in launching close to fifty libraries. The funds raised at the event will be used to assist School Aid South Africa to continue delivery of refurbished libraries and services to schools.
School Aid South Africa is based in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
