It is that time for women of all ages to come together for a fun-filled day at the Seriti sa Basadi celebrations at Sibikwa Arts Centre.
Sibikwa has a long tradition of promoting women’s rights and their wellbeing. In keeping with Sibikwa’s values we will be hosting a celebration of women on Sunday, 25 August 2019 under the theme of “Seriti sa Basadi” (Dignity of Women).
The goal of “Seriti sa Basadi” is to bring women of all ages together to celebrate womanhood and create an environment where women can share their ideas, experiences and enjoy themselves. We encourage mothers and daughters to come together and be part of this fun day.
Activities for the day includes live music performances by Zoe Modiga and Saxy Sthe, comedy by Stella Dlangalala, motivational talks by author Jackie Phamotse, poetry by Wazi M Kunene, storytelling by Faith Busika, firefighting in the home and first Aid demonstrations by the Benoni fire department, health and financial talks, pamper and massage sessions. Khanyi Magubane will be the Mc for the day and the last act will be a surprise for the ladies. There will be homemade food, fashion, and jewellery vendor stalls. Free and safe parking is available.
