JPO: Annual Christmas Community Concert in SowetoThe Winter Season of the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra’s World Symphony Season will start on Wednesday, May 22, running until Thursday, June 13. During the first week, there will be an additional concert on Friday, 24 May.

Due to the feedback from numerous patrons that it gets darker and colder much earlier during the winter months in Johannesburg, we will start the concerts at 19:30 for the 2019 Winter Season. We will thereafter review the starting times of future concerts.

We urge you to take advantage of the savings and benefits of subscribing to the Symphony Season. Subscribers (enjoy savings of between 10% – 30%, receive free programmes and retain their preferred seats for all four concerts. Subscriptions are now open through the JPO office and will close on Wednesday, 8 May 2019.
