Thandiswa recently released her third studio album titled ‘Belede’ which is being well received nationally and internationally. The 2016 album is a collection of reinterpretations of legendary South African Jazz and Protest anthems from the 1950’s and 1960’s ‘golden era’. She says the inspiration behind the collection hails from the music she listened to while growing up. “The title of the album, ‘Belede’ is named after and dedicated to my late mother, who was and still is a major influence in my music and political stance,” added Thandiswa.
