Tshwane University of Technology’s Department of Performing Arts (Dance) will kick off this year’s Dance Season at the Breytenbach Theatre in which young dancers interpret the essence of life through this art form. Tshidziki: Ikigai: “The essence of life: Your reason for being” features the work of five professional choreographers and two up-and-coming student choreographers. It promises a line up showcasing different dance styles from tap, afro-contemporary and jazz, to classical African and experimental contemporary.
