Vibrations of Us
The 29th annual Dance Umbrella Festival runs from 23 February till 5 March 2017, bringing 17 different programmes to audiences at the Wits Theatre Complex in Braamfontein.
One of these programmes is the Young Artists programme on Sunday 26 February which showcases 28 new works from young choreographers from all corners of South Africa. One of these young choreographers is Thami Tshabalala who made a name for himself with Kmad Dance Company.
Tshabalala’s work entitled Vibrations of Us won the Kyknet ‘Best Physical Theatre Production’ award at the Krekvars Festival in 2016, and makes its Johannesburg debut on Sunday 26 February at 10:00.
