The Melrose Gallery SA’s presents SculptX 2019, South Africa’s largest annual Sculpture Fair, featuring 90 Artists and over 200 sculptures which will be on display from 30 August to 29 September 2019 throughout the Melrose Precinct.
Caddelle’s extended reality sculpture “All embracing” explores the tactile and intangible presence through the use of an App. The steel and glass sculpture blends traditional arts with the multi-faceted digital experience with a life size augmented 3D sculpture.

Caddelle is a Multi-disciplinary and extended reality artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He explores this consequential divide with an innate link to the mediums of the “traditional” arts and the multi-faceted digital experience; for him, the immersive is not a solitary experience but rather one of sharing the discovery that contemporary art making can deliver. With this in mind he invites the viewer to interact and participate in both the tactile and digital evolution of art.
