Join the Cape Town City Ballet and a cast of 50 children on a journey to Neverland, to the Mermaid’s Lagoon and to the Lost Boys’ Tree House and have an adventure on Captain Hook’s ship, the Jolly Roger.

Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up, has once again come to the window of Wendy Darling to listen to her stories. This time he is taking Wendy and her brothers, John and Michael, back with him to Neverland, where every day is an adventure with Red Indians, Mermaids, Stars and Pirates and where children never have to get older.

Come and meet the mischievous Tinkerbell, who travels in her very own air balloon to the Northern Star and beyond.

On the Artscape Theatre stage from 16 December, 2016 until 8 January, 2017.

A special champagne GALA performance on New Year’s Eve, 31 Dec, 2016, at 22h00. Join the Cape Town City Ballet in the Artscape Theatre as it dances its way into 2017 with a programme that includes ballets to the music of Gerschwin and Glazunov, and features guest artist, Jesse Williams, on clarinet. Jesse was featured in the production of Night & Day earlier this year, when his skill in playing his favourite instrument was sincerely appreciated by the audiences.

This famous story is brought alive in the magical setting under the stars of the Maynardville Open-Air Theatre. The story of the star-crossed lovers is portrayed in glorious dance to the music of Prokofiev and features the choreography of Robin van Wyk. Special guest artists, who feature in every performance, are Janet Lindup, playing Lady Capulet, and Nicolette Loxton, who supports Juliet as her Nurse. The leading roles of Romeo and Juliet are danced by Thomas Thorne with Laura Bosenberg, Ivan Boonzaaier with Kim Vieira and Revil Yon with Rosamund Ford. Taking the role of Mercutio is Martin Milner and Craig Pedro, while the malevolent Tybalt is portrayed by Xola Putye, Daniel Szybkowski and Conrad Nusser.
