Daphne Kuhn and Charl du Plessis present Charl du Plessis plays Gershwin at the Auto and General Theatre on the Square from 20 to 24 February.
The magnificent musician Charl du Plessis is South Africa’s piano man, Steinway artist – and synonymous with the music of Gershwin. He has performed popular works by Gershwin on three continents with his jazz trio and as soloist with various symphony orchestras.
His show, Charl du Plessis plays Gershwin, will open at the Auto & General Theatre on the Square on 20 February for 1 week only.
Charl du Plessis plays Gershwin will include music from Porgy & Bess, his most beloved songs like The Man I Love and I Got Rhythm, and the one and only Rhapsody in Blue. He shares the stage with bassist Werner Spies and drummer Peter Auret.
