Joburg Theatre Youth Development presents a play by Menzi Mkhwane, directed by Mahlatsi Mokgonyana and Billy Langa, starring Mlungisi Mathe.

Finding Melo is a light-hearted quirky one-man show based on the story of Melo a young business man in his late 20’s. Developed by South African young thespian Menzi Mkhwane recipient of a Naledi Award from the play A voice I cannot silence, son of the legendary South African theatre maker Bheki Mkhwane. Menzi has staged The Secret Valley of Great kings at The Playhouse in Durban and won numerous awards in Durban.

The play goes through an antic journey of being a young visionary in the new South Africa and also what it truly means to find oneself in a diverse country. Starring Mlungisi, who is well-known for his role of Emkay in the popular SAFTA award winning drama series Skeem Sam and directed by a theatre making duo Mahlatsi Mokgonyana and Billy Langa. The play brings a very colourful collaboration in creative and performance.
