Kick off the December holiday fun at the Playhouse with an authentic African magical experience this festive season.
The Playhouse Company’s Actors Studio and Playhouse Dance Residency are about to journey into the wonderful world of storytelling. Directed by Warona Seane, Our Story Magic is a collection of stories set in a mystical African garden. With dance, song and storytelling, some of Dr Gcina Mhlophe’s African folk stories will be brought to life.
Explore themes of love, ambition and courage in Sun Set Colours, relationships and karma in Dog and Hare, and determination and bravery in Queen of the Tortoise.
This highly entertaining and interactive production aims to teach children the values of Ubuntu, but also caters for the entire family.
Packed with widely resonating stories, Our Story Magic offers a lasting and interactive theatrical experience. The cast has proven to be a hit with the younger crowd, as experienced in school programmes such as My Body & I, which left kids entertained and informed by pertinent life messages.
