On Saturday morning’s edition of Saturday’s Role With Reno, host Renos Spanoudes and Mxolisi Masilela spoke to Jefferson ‘JBobs’ Tshabalala about Kiri Pink Nob’s Summer Season.

This morning Renos continued talking to Mxolisi Masilela in the studio about TX Theatre in Thembisa and independent theatre in general.
They were then joined on the line by Kiri Pink Nob founder Jefferson ‘JBobs’ Tshabalala.
Kiri Pink Nob have launched their Summer Season, which takes their sketch, poetry, hip-hop and gameshow format shows to independent theatres and venues across Gauteng.
The season was launched at the POPArt Theatre in the Maboneng Precinct, in Johannesburg last Monday.
The Season will continue through to December in various venues in Gauteng and audiences can expect exciting works across the spectrum as Kiri Pink Nob has been known to produce everything from classic drama pieces to hard-hitting hip-hop theatre and sketches voicing relevant issues of today.
During the month of October they present Sketching Hard – a variety of skits and sketches. uBhoboza, presented by Kiri Pink Nob and Theatre Duo with AFDA Johannesburg, is a Hip-Hop Musical Extravaganza and will be performed on 11th, 12th and 13th October at the University of Johannesburg, and then at the University of Pretoria’s Kopanong Student Arts Festival on 20th October. The Performance Fitness Club are at Emakhaya, Wits University Corner- 13th Floor on the 13th, 15th and 20th October.
Then in November the Summer Season goes back to Pop Art in Maboneng with Game show, on 5th and 6th. uBhoboza is performing again on the weekends of 9th and 10th as well as 16th and 17th. Venue to be confirmed. Some thrilling ‘poetry in performance’ titled Poet.O.Type will take audiences into the very underbelly of South Africa’s art-house circles from 22 – 24 November 2018.
