On Saturday morning’s edition of Saturday’s Role With Reno, host Renos Spanoudes spoke to PJ Sabbagha about My Body My Space Public Arts Festival 2018.
My Body My Space 2018.
My Body My Space 2018, funded by the Department of Arts and Culture, is a festival of public performances, installations, happenings and exhibitions curated by FATC and takes place in public spaces throughout the Emakhazeni Local Municipality (ELM), in rural Mpumalanga. This year MBMS will bring the countryside alive with dancing, art and music, from 20 to 25 March.
PJ Sabbagha (Winner of the Standard Bank Young Artist Award for Dance 2005) founded and directs the Forgotten Angle Theatre Company. In 2015 FATC relocated its operations to the rural area of Emakhazeni, Mpumalanga, and established the Ebhudlweni Arts Centre. With this move FATC has been able to deliver on its objective to facilitate, develop and advance the role of South African artists, arts organizations, NGOs and Community Based Organizations as progressive and dynamic agents of personal development and societal transformation.
