On Saturday morning’s edition of Saturday’s Role With Reno, host Renos Spanoudes interviewed Weslee Lauder about his career in musical theatre and A Chorus Line.
Weslee Lauder – A Chorus Line
Weslee Lauder is a creative and multi-talented performer who obtained a B-Tech in Musical Theatre (Cum Laude) from Tshwane University of Technology. At TUT, Weslee performed in 8 Dance/Musical Theatre productions and in 2010 made his professional debut in Buddy, the Buddy Holly Story at the State Theatre. Lauder choreographed the South African premier of Spring Awakening! and starred in various roles in the Naledi Award winning family musical African Adventure as various roles. Weslee Lauder was nominated for a Naledi Theatre Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Call Me Lee. Now in 2017 he is directing Doringrosie: Die Slapende Skone at Emperor’s Palace and Jonathan Roxmouth’s “From the Musicals” at The Teatro at Montecasino. He is currently directing A Chorus Line at King David Victory Park.
