Sibikwa Arts Centre invites young directors, based in Gauteng, to apply to be part of the Directors’ Showcase taking place on Sunday 10 November 2019.
Are you an aspiring theatre director between the ages of 18 and 30 looking for a professional platform to showcase your work? Have you directed an original work, or a play based on an existing text, that has been performed at least once? Then this call might be for you!
This year, the Directors’ Showcase focuses on young directors who have recently graduated, and those who have taken their first few steps towards building their careers. Three directors will be given a platform to present their work in a professional theatre space, access a broader market to build their audience base, and an opportunity to receive feedback from an industry expert for the further development of their piece.
If you answered yes to the questions above and are interested in this opportunity, then please send the following documents to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 14 October 2019.
- Your bio and resume (including references)
- A synopsis of the play (including duration)
- Photographs of the performance
- Links to videos of the performance (if available)
- Reviews of the performance (if available)
