The National Eisteddfod Academy invites all teachers involved in coaching speech and drama activities to a Speech and Drama workshop on 26 May 2018.
On 26 May the National Eisteddfod Academy, in collaboration with Maragon Ruimsig, will present a one-day practical workshop for teachers interested in coaching speech and drama activities.
This 1-day training program comprises of 3 sessions with a modular structure to enable participants to tailor-made their programmes according to their own needs. It offers value to experienced, as well as non-specialist teachers (and interested parents).
Topics include choral verse speaking, poetry, prose, public speaking, monologue, plays and other theatre work, as well as mime and puppetry. The presenters for the various sessions are John Jacobs, Mary-Ann Triebiger, Esté Pienaar, Inge James and Swannie Swanevelder.
An early bird discounted fee is offered until 13 May 2018. The cost of the workshop ranges from R200 per session to R450 for the complete workshop and includes a document pack, lunch and refreshments. For bookings visit the NEA website at www.eisteddfod.co.za or call 011 886 6005.
