Newtown Junction hosts a monthly afternoon of proudly local and African music under the banner of Sundaes on Junction. Sessions are hosted in the mall courtyard and kick off at 12:30.
On Sunday 12 February, Newtown welcomes Afro house artist Holly.
At age 21, Holly has recorded numerous tracks, performed on multiple platforms and appeared on many radio and TV shows. She has collaborated on several tracks across many genres and has succeeded in pacing her career while crafting her sound and developing her brand. Over the years, since the age of 13, she has worked with musicians and recorded with artists from Mozambique, Senegal, Congo, and Nigeria.
Soundwise, you can expect a combination of kasi flavours, soulful lyrics, jazzy elements and tribal undertones. Holly is no stranger to collaborations and she strives to craft music that is true to her roots and journey as an African musician.
Junctions Sundaes looks forward to hosting this young vibrant talent on the South African entertainment landscape.
