UJ is looking to recruit a Senior Manager for UJ Arts & Culture (a division of FADA). Applications close on 12 February 2017.
UJ Arts & Culture is a division of the Faculty of Art Design and Architecture (FADA) which produces and presents world-class student and professional arts programmes aligned to the UJ vision of an international university of choice, anchored in Africa, dynamically shaping the future. A robust range of arts platforms are offered on all four UJ campuses for students, staff, alumni and the general public to experience and engage with emerging and established Pan-African and international artists drawn from the full spectrum of the arts.
The incumbent will be reporting to the Executive Dean of FADA responsible for:
- Programme, produce and present new and established works to enhance the profile of UJ (including at least one large-scale student production in the Main Theatre, choir tours, touring student productions and at least three large-scale intercampus dance, singing and poetry projects).
- Ensure that a robust range of arts and culture platforms are offered on all four campuses for students to experience and engage with emerging and established Pan-African and international performing artists drawn from the full spectrum of the performing arts (drama, dance, music and literature).
- Effective management of UJ Arts & Culture facilities, partnerships and agreements.
