The South African Cultural Observatory’s (SACO) National Conference at the Turbine Hall on Johannesburg on Wednesday and Thursday seeks to explore the interface between the creative economy and development across developed and emerging economies. The SACO and the Market Theatre Foundation have collaborated to deliver some of the elements of the conference including: photography, performance, and a theatre evening on 24 May featuring Can Themba’s legendary, ‘The Suit’ and Kgafela oa Magogodi’s satirical play ‘Chilahaebolae’.
