Yiull Damaso Artists Studio & Gallery is being transformed into a Curiosity Shoppe of strange and wonderful art and artefacts. Featuring dramatic exhibits of fine art, sculpture, and photography to objet d’art jewellery and lighting constellations, this collaboration, featuring 13 artists, has been curated to delight and intrigue. Artists include: Dov Fedler (oils on canvas), Oscar Gutierrez (photography) and Yiull Damaso (collection of rusted crows paintings) amongst others.
Following on from the successful collaboration in July, Damaso never fails to bring together a tenacious ensemble of established and emerging artists who seek a gallery that embraces explorative and disruptive pieces while preserving artistic integrity.
Other attractions at the Curiosity Shoppe exhibition include; Victor Reed’s symposium of handmade hares, delicate ink drawings by Laura de Harde and Nikhil Tricam, photographs by Christiaan Frederik, Steven Berkowitz, abstracts by Julius Van Der Wat and fantastical 3D creatures by Rick Treweek – all splendidly illuminated by Stephen Pikus’s Fire + Ice chandelier and vintage lights by Bespoke.
Against the backdrop of Damaso’s imposing series of mystical crows, patrons can also look forward to Corlene Furstenberg’s bold sculptures, and dazzling jewellery by Queen Magpie and Y&M Studios.
